Hi Warriors

I'm doing an Amazon review/product site in WordPress.

I can have from Amazon a text link, or an image link. However images are small and not very good.

Is there anyway I can put my own much better image into the WP post and make it link through to Amazon (with my affiliate code) if someone clicks the photo?

Yes you can,use the image from the Amazon product description on Amazon if it's the proper size that you are looking for,if not modify it in a photo editing software, then place the image where you want it on your post, then edit that image and place your Amazon affiliate link in the link url section of the image, that will allow it that when someone clicks on your image it will go directly to Amazon with your affiliate link.

I use Wordpress and somethimes when I place the Amazon affiliate link in the link url section of the image it works and somethings it doesn't.

What do you think I am doing wrong?

Make sure you actually test your affiliate link before using it to make sure it goes to the proper location, posting that link in the image url should work,if it's not working then there is a problem with your link itself.

I agree with Steven Dybka's advice but would always add a text line under the image with "Clcik here to see the ..." and make the text a link. Not all viewers click on the image to get moer information. A call to action is always a safer bet.

Of course, you can always integrate the call to action in the image either with photo editing software or PowerPoint. In PowerPoint, insert the image, add a text box underneath with your text, then save the slide as a JPEG, and finally crop it in free photo editing software like Paint.net.

        Best of luck

Thanks everyone for some really good replies, I'm very grateful.

I sometimes feel (When I'm in a bad mood) that Warrior is full of spammers selling garbage as WSO's for $7.

However there is an awful lot of help to be had on here with an awful lot of really knowledgeable people.
