My .02 on the layout...

I would remove the fixed background area on the left and center the site horizontally. I understand it's fixed for branding purposes, but it makes the rest of the size seem squished together and off-kilter.

Perhaps there could be another use of the fixed background area, like it could auto-display large photos of each product when on a product page. Something about it currently doesn't feel right.

Background images should remain in the background. Better for the eye to be drawn to your calls to action on the page.

Should:
- make background scrollable
- the images should be better trimmed out from the backgrounds
- study a bit of color theory (hint: read about gray and the effect on men)
