Blog instead of www

A while ago I came across Eben Pagan's site Self Made Wealth Blog and I was wondering how he managed to get the blog. prefix instead of the www - how does one do that?

example.com = domain... whether it's with www or without, it's irrelevant (btw, the www is not needed, it's an obsolete remnant of the early days of the internet)

whatever.example.com = "whatever" is a sub-domain

Go to your site's admin panel (cPanel?) and create as many as you want. Do NOT redirect theme anywhere!

  www.subdomain.domainname.com
  www.subdomain.subdomain.domainname.com
  http://www.subdomain.subdomain..subd...domainname.com

"blog" is a folder in the root level, something like domain.com/blog/ and it can be accessed this way, blog.domain.com

or you can add a subdomain like Istvan Horvath said
