OptimizePress and ProfitsTheme...Together?

I've been researching these themes to death and everyone's opinions seem to indicate that OptimizePress is better and more polished when it comes to pages, whereas ProfitsTheme's real strength is the included membership abilities.

Does anyone use these themes together? Use OP to create their pages, but then use PT to manage the membership portal?

Can they be used together? Or is that just asking for all sorts of incompatibilities?

You can only activate and use one theme at a time with Wordpress.

I think you can use two or themes in your WordPress site by using HeadSpace 2 plugins! Even you can change your theme on each page!

        Thanks

mybizdeal, could you provide the links for each theme on your site, so we can see how it appears and changes? Are you using OptimizePress and ProfitsTheme?

You could use two themes on seperate domain names, that are close, the membership one , could have your domain name with the word membership behind it.

That way you can use both themes. Just link form OP to PT whenever you want them to be directed to the membership area. I believe that would be simple.

2 domains, 2 separate wordpress installs.

It's actually something I have thought about many times with other themes, that do not have a membership area, but do have a nice theme.

As long as the membership theme is capable of being customized to look like your other wordpress theme, it would and could work....

Optimize Press does have membership capability, but I've not really used it. I prefer having a separate install like Steve said, but I do them on the same domain and just use a subdirectory.

      domain.com/ -Optimize Press
      domain.com/members/ - other theme

Woman: How much do I owe you for the sketch?
      Picasso: 5000 francs.
Woman: But it only took you 5 minutes!
Picasso: No madam, it took me all my life.

My understanding is that OptimizePress does NOT have membership capability, but they do have templates for membership pages, so if you add a plug-in or service, you're good to go with the look of your site.

This is a creative way to do it--I may consider this.

    Hi there,

I agree with Steve Wells above.... having the themes on different domains and use one as the membership that's what I do... www.TheDomain.com and www.Domain.com

    Good luck with it!
