Business Cards/QR codes

I want to create my own card design with QR codes on the back. I realized that if you upload your design to one of the online business card sites for printing, it needs to be 600dpi(images saved on a computer are 72dpi) or it will be blurry when printed. So how do we accomplish this??

Also if I put a QR code on the design, won't it likely be resized on the card and not work? How do I make sure in advance that a QR code is still going to work after printed? Wouldn't be good to have hundreds of new cards and the codes didn't work.
#business #cards or qr #codes

DPI basically is dots per inch or pixels per inch. Print is actually 300 DPI not 600. 72 DPI is standard for Web, not computers. That is why Photoshop defaults to 72.

You need to change your settings in Photoshop to 300 DPI not 72 DPI when you create a new document. In Illustrator it defaults to 300 DPI as it is primarily used for print. I'm not sure what company you are going through that is requiring 600 DPI.

Also when you print the card the QR will still work. Just to be safe you can just buy the minimum first and test it. Just don't make them too small.

Let me know if you have any other questions

Hi, I'm looking for an online site that sells clear magnifying business cards. I have found a couple that sell them in white or bright colours, but I need them to be clear. Anyone know where to find them?

I think the to get the best possible way to get excellent business cards made is to get it professionally made. I tried making my own but didn't turn out well and my friend said I should try CardsMadeEasy! The business cards they made for me turned out great!! check them out!

You can change your image DPI in Photoshop. You go to image/image size/ and change the DPI to 300. Be sure to leave "resample image" unchecked.

Professional Is definitely the way to go if you don't know what you're doing. Make sure you get a high quality cards with a high DPI for better image resolution and have your logo and business name carefully placed on the card to fit perfectly with the rest of the design.
