Joomla 1.7 and IE8 & IE9 Global Config. Issue
Just a heads up. I am a user of Joomla and have just downloaded version 1.7 on a new domain (I have used many of the previous versions as well). Godaddy has recently started offering version 1.7 as the only option. There are ways around this I am sure but if you happen to use 1.7 with IE you will likely run into an issue where you will not be able to save any changes you attempt to make in the Global Configuration. the save button just does nothing. There are hundreds of speculated fixes being thrown around on the Joomla support forum, but one caught my eye and it was easy to implement. For some reason the problem does not exist if using FireFox. I downloaded it and the resolution was immediate. I am still using Joomla 1.6 with IE with no problems. So just a heads up. If anyone has any ideas how to get 1.7 to work with IE please share. Hope this helps someone, I'm sure there will be a patch out soon.
