Can anyone explain why im getting the following in google results for my website.

My Website Name » Blog Archive Product Name ... (Blue Link)

I dont understand why im getting the above in blue in meta title description for my post as its totally different to what i have put in the Meta Title Field of my plugin?

Please advise.

    Well if you are using a plugin, then check that plugin settings page to see if you can find this text here, or check the general settings page.

    It seems that you are confusing title with meta description. The title of the page is what appears in the browser and the meta description remains in the code for search engines to read. You will have to set your plugin properly to reflect the title in desired format. Have you set the plugin right? Or, is your theme overriding the plugin settings?

    Blue Link should be the Title of your Blog. Have you added the product name too in the title? There must be something wrong done. Else, try disabling all your plugins.

    Check the plug-in setting, if any thing wrong correct it any than check for if the problem if resolved or not. Check your title and the meta description, possibilities are there you might have done something wrong their.

      Thanks for all the replies warriors but im still not clear on this.

      Can someone explain what wording will i see in the blue link in google results page?

      Is it the Title of My Post? Or is it the Description i type into the Title Field of a SEO plugin such as All In One SEO which is normally 60 characters?

        The word that you see in blue are the tittle of the web-page to which the Google is showing you the link. Post tittle is different thing.

    Is the Post Title and Title Field in Seo Plugin the same thing?

    I have noticed some pages in google results Post Title in blue will have extra information compared to what the Post Title is. Where is this extra information coming from?

    E.g..

    Actual Post Title: Logitech G9X laser mouse review

    Here is what is displayed in Blue Title Link In Google Results....

    Logitech G9x laser mouse review - National PC game | Examiner.com

    The actual result title description has extra information compared to the post title in blog.

    My question is Where is this extra information coming from?

    Is it a certain setting in Wordpress to add these extra details?

    Can someone please explain this.

      Do a search on Google and go to a page that shows up in the results in a different window.

      View the page source and compare it to what Google displays.

    When using the All In One SEO plugin, whatever you enter as the Title below the post and the AIO SEO area will override the title you entered above the post and will display as the title of that page.
