I was wondering when putting together a web page if it maters if the description tag shows up before the keyword tags. I am using a web editor and checking some of my pages using different seo and page checking tools that one of them mentioned that my meta name keywords was showing up before the meta name description. When I checked they were right, I looked at many sites and all of them show the description before the keyword tags. Does it really mater what shows up first. If so I will have to contact the companies web editor and ask them if they can fix this. thanks

    Hi,

It totally does not matter, a spider will read it all the same.

thanks for the info, the only reason I was asking was because I ran my site through a site checker and it said my keywords were showing up before my description and saying it in a was of saying this was a bad thing and I should fix it. Also after seeing how my pages were set up I looked at about 60 other sites and looked at the view page source and all of them had the description before the keywords so it thought it might mater. Thanks
