Hey guys, I've been reading this forum for a couple of weeks now and have decided to join as it seems an invaluable resource.
My story is that I graduated from uni a few months ago and am expected to go into the normal 9-5 job route. I personally can't think of anything worse, that is why I have this deep desire to make IM work for me and asap to prove that it is a viable source of income. I would love to have the sort of control over my life that IM offers.
My website is kidney stone hyphen removal dot com

It's been up for about 3 and a half weeks and has had 196 UV's and 574 visits. To be honest I have no idea where this traffic is coming from as I've had about 4 visits from google . No one seems to be clicking on my links atm .

Any help you could provide me with would be much appreciated
In hindsight I probably wouldn't have gone for that niche but I was eager to start and wanted to start the learning process right away.

Congrats on the first site! Its always the toughest

My opinion is that there isnt an immediate call to action, there isnt anything that makes feel like I need to buy it. I'm sorry I cant offer any suggestions to solve the problem, maybe someone else can help with that part.

Ok I would redo your header image as it looks stretched, also on your images make them click through to your affiliate sales page, this way it is easier for visitors to buy.

Give your main page more information like it's main review, people do not like searching, as human nature people are lazy and do not want to look around.

You will only get better with time good 1st effort

  • If you want to make money on your next sites you'll do all the marketing research so you know it's profitable...

building the site is one of the last things you do.

But who knows... what's a lemming make these days?

Crass? Not really. Most people can't make enough to support themselves online because they are so involved with what they are doing the totally forget about the most important person. Hint: It's not you.

Thanks for the help, I've made a few changes. I'm planning to devote a lot of time in the next week to ensure I find a profitable niche and start another website. This was a learning experience more than anything which has proved helpful.

I do not really like how you've placed your images. The one inside the post is really distracting me from the content and other banners.

I've removed the pictures, changed the header and added some call to action buttons... I already think it's looking better.

I think your site could be in more of an "article" format on the front page, instead of...well, kind of salesy looking with a bunch of weird links.

You can still have pictures and what not. I would recommend making it look like an informative magazine article.

I guess I would recommend REALLY trying to get into the mind of the searcher. Searchers want to be helped, then they will be likely to click where you want them to.

Your site has some good qualities to. navigations is pretty simple, and that is laways a good thing. it is obvious what the topic of your site is, and that is even more important.

There are a couple of things that you might consider changing around a bit.

Try an SEO plugin like All in ONe SEO, it can help make your posts and pages more SEO friendly with just a little bit of work.

You couild also try adding some more content to the home page. YOur review pages have plenty of content on them, but the front page is kind of thin.

Unless you are a CSS wiz, Thesis is kind of hard to get a really professional lookng site with. You migh tbe able to find a skin, either a free or a low cost one that could beef up the professional image of your site. Its not terrible by any means, it just looks kind of homemade and the tone of the wording you are using doesn't match the look of the site.

If you are going for the home grown style, you might need to adjust the wording a bit, so it sounds a bit friendlier in nature.

Have you really tested 15 kidney stone removal treatments? That could be an issue if you have not.
