Need help with prestashop

I have followed the directions for prestashop but can not get it to the install page. Can anyone help?

    Actually, no...it looks to me , since the "page is not found", that the file has been uploaded incorrectly but I have followed every possible way of doing that---from zipped, unzipped, folder, all folders, loaded to main directory, loaded to sub directory....I finally gave up and just had my host to wipe the site clean. I am now back at square one with a new address and cpanel.
    I am now going to just purchase from Templatic a preloaded template with a shopping cart. They don't give refunds so that is my only concern--their support should make it right if it doesn't work (don't have a reason to believe it wouldn't).
    Sure would like to have used prestashop on at least one of my sites but now I can't afford to lose an entire site already indexed and performing to an experimental change of carts.

      Thanks Mike, I have moved the two sites I was having problems with to a hosted ecommerce solution BUT I do plan to try this again on a new site or two. Could use your help then. They will be WP based on their own domain names. I want to add prestashop to sell products with PayPal processing. Before I get too far with the sites, would you be willing to walk me through the upload?
