Hello, I was looking around and I can't seem to find any way to just place a screen shot function on my website. I just want it to take a sniping of a particular area. Any one have any ideas? Thanks!

  • Think this might be what you need

    Jing

Sorry i can't post links yet need 15 posts. But google Jing.
  • You ever saw a button on your keybord with the words "PRINT" on it?

You open the website in question, press that button PRINT, than you open Paint (or any other image editor), press STRG+V (or Right Click -> Paste) and you got the screenshot in there. Now you can slice pout the part you want.

    • And I always wondered what that Print button was for!

    • I thought they would have know about this, Thats why i didn't suggest it.

Jing would still be a lot easier then using a photo edit software to edit the print screen.

  • The 'PrtScrn' or "PrtSc" stands for = Print Screen
  • camtasia studio is the best option for me as of my opinion. Mainly i use this tool for video recording and it works really good for me , you must try this one and you can choose a specific location of the page to get captured.
  • Gyazo is also useful if you need to take a lot of screenshots - it saves a lot of time not having to open up Photoshop, paste them, and save them.

  • Use snagit free software. Or on a mac Shift and Command and 4 lets you select with crosshairs and copies to your clipboard your selection. You can just select paste then where ever you want to put it.
  • there is an add-on for firefox called fireshot
  • In windows 7, there is a sniping tool which can take screenshots.
Besides use the print scrn button to take a screenshot and then open paint and paste the screenshot there.
