Learn Photoshop for web DESIGN

How do I learn Photoshop in terms of the graphic design necessary to put together web page layout, landing pages, minisites, headers, etc. I know how to use the tool but I'm looking to learn how to create pages with amazing graphics. How and where can I learn this? Thanks!

    I would also suggest studying sales and persuasion as your landing pages and minisites are only as good as the results that they produce.

    I would consider learning Fireworks if I was you. It was built for web and the workflow is superior to PS for web work. It's a part of the Adobe Creative Suite. Here's a free trial from Adobe:

    Don't quite get your question - are you saying you know how to use Photoshop but don't know how to design? I'd say you need to do any of these three things:
    Start googling the web for Photoshop design examples. Not photomontage work or retouching but web page layouts, banner building, and designing graphic content for Flash and / or AJAX apps.
    Make a 'real world' project. If you have not got one already make yourself a home page based on a photoshop layout. Set design and outcome goals plus a timetable. Treat it as both a learning experience and a real job. Imagine you've promised a client something by the end of next week. Get busy!
    If you want more design advice than what you find on the web, get onto a design course, either online or at a college, adult education centre or whatever you have in your area.
    Last quick note, if you want more on photoshop as a creative tool, check out the Photoshop guys and their PhotoshopTV. Top tips, great examples and stupid jokes. Great all round.

    the intensity of your design is a talent of being a graphic designer, there are many people know a lot in photoshop but design wise, not so good. Try to research new trends of design or what is aim or goal.

    u can try going to scx dot hu and look for great creative graphics there. most of them are free for commercial use. just use photoshop to transform those graphics into something else. this is just a start if u have ideas later on what would look great you can make your own hopefully.
