downloading video to website

Hi All Warriors,
I found a video on YouTube that I want to use on my WP website. I got the video's URL by right clicking and inserted it. It works.
However; When I open it it takes me to YouTube with all the other related videos.
I am afraid they will get lost and won't come back to my website and lose a customer. So how do I single out the video so it won't go to YouTube?

    That's gonna be a draw back to using YouTube. Just as you're trying to use YouTube to leverage traffic, they're leveraging you as a means of getting your traffic to YouTube!

    Export the youtube video into an .flv (google that process) then upload it to another website. You can also serve it yourself. It's up to you!

    You could also get the code to embed the video to your site, if the video is publicly available to embed of course. That way, the video will only play on your site and will not take users to Youtube.

    I can see two disadvantages of dumping whole youtube video to flv:
    1) Legal issues - is it totally legal to download a video from youtube, and placing it on own server?
    2) Transfer which it grabs - simply when you are playing directly from youtube it will not "eat" your hosting server since it is played directly from youtube servers.

    There are two main ways to download a youtube video.

    1. Use a browser plugin like "Download Helper"

    2. Use a Youtube download site (just Google for "youtube downloader online" and you'll find plenty)

    You could use the embed HTML codes to add to your website or download the video yourself and host it on your own host. There are lots of them out there, and some even integrate with IE and Firefox to make it super easy to use. I use the one here with firefox YouTube Downloader | Download Videos from YouTube and its free.
