Wysiwyg editor for Wordpress themes

Do anyone know of a good free WYSIWYG theme editor for WordPress themes?.

I need something that can help me build magazine type themes and are able to widgetize even the normal post area. Also it must be able to create a useful options page for the WP admin.

I have tried some free ones from buzz software and other online editors, but they can only build basic blog themes.

The reason for this question: I am a newbie when it comes to coding ( Zero coding experience) and I do not have the means to buy expensive software like Artisteer (Which cannot build magazine type templates).

I think there's a LOT of newbies an non-coders out there that could benefit with the answer to the above question.

    Hi,

What about outsourcing the coding so that you can focus on more important things? Just a thought.

If there are coders that will do the work for free, by all means will I use them.

Unfortunately they are like hen's teeth and horse horns...non existent.

That's why I am on the lookout for a good FREE WYSIWYG Wordpress theme editor.

CKeditor and TinyMCE are WYSIWYG for Dashboard wordpress posts/page editor area, they are not for editing or creating theme's.

I personally use Artisteer, works great for me. But yes, as you said, it can't do full blown magazine type themes. Wish it did.

Think your looking for theme builders, but sorry I don't know or free ones.

You really need to learn WordPress, CSS, and PHP, and use Notepad++/XAMPP

Artisteer is a paid product that uses lousy php coding to build themes of marginal quality.

Just for the record: all posts that clearly showed you didn't read/understand the OP ( and suggested a content creation wysiwyg editor) have been deleted.

    Thank you Istvan.

As it happens, I don't want a content creation editor. I need something to help me create WordPress THEMES.

At the moment the only thing that makes a remotely decent theme is Artisteer, but it's quite expensive.

PS: It seems I must learn HTML, CSS end PHP to get what I want, because there are no alternatives.

I don't know your experience with all that, but you could very easily spend days, weeks or more making your own and it not be that good of a theme. Besides the coding, there is SEO, responsiveness and other things to keep in mind and know how to incorporate those aspects into your theme.

You could spend all kinds of time and frustration, or buy something ready to go tomorrow and use it tomorrow.

Years back I tried learning php, to make my own scripts. All the time I wasted, when I could have bought something ready to go, and spent my time on more important things like traffic, marketing or making money. Learned my lesson the hard way. Not knocking, just saying.

Honestly I can't believe there is not a theme out there that will do exactly what you want and more these days. Coded by people who know what they are doing. Seems there is a theme for most anything.

Solid piece of advice, you'd be better off spending the money for something that is ready to go.

That's the logic response, thumbs up. Saves your sanity.

That's why I mentioned a WP theme source which includes a drag and drop editor to style the theme the way you want.

That was not available a short time ago and people maybe even don't know that this exists as it was a HTML exclusivity in the past.

Before this your would have spend $$ for outsourcing or a lot of time to DIY.

I don't buy themes anymore, can do all I want with some like 20 basic layouts and the drag and drop editor.

I think if you search some free or paid theme for wordpress theme which is not so expensive even they are paid. and then install it for your site. You need to use notepad++ or dreamwaver or any php file editor to make your theme.

Would planetstarta.com meet your needs? It's not free, but not hugely expensive, they have magazine themes that you can edit, and Kezz's support is second to none.
