How to design perfect HTML/CSS theme from scratch?

Hey

I have been making wordpress sites (with ready made premium themes) from over 3 years now and have good HTML knowledge. However I have never tried creating a wordpress theme. I mean I have got PSD but now what?

I know HTML but unaware of CSS.

From where to start?
I have downloaded some PSD to CSS tutorial but have got no success.

I'm very keen to learn this new thing.

    Hey akki...

    PSD2HTML is a little bit tricky. It all depends on the graphics you got.

    Integrating a theme into WordPress is even a little bit trickier.

    When I am theming WordPress I am doing it like this:

    Installing WP, Installing necessary plugins (there are some plugins that are really essential, especially the security plugins, backup plugins, antispam plugins,...), installing Carrington Text Framework.

    Now that I have installed Carrington Text I can start to implement my design into the framework.

    You need good knowledge of HTML/CSS to succeed.

    www.cookielessdomain.com is based on Carrington Text.

    PSD2WP is tricky, you can destroy your blog... make daily backups of files/database

    I have no idea from where to start. Can anyone recommend me some video or blog tutorials so that I can learn something?
