I was wondering if you fellow warriors would take a look at what I have on my website so far? It's still a work in progress but I would like to clean up what needs to be cleaned up as I go along. Makes me feel like I am accomplishing something anyway.

      I agree with marioxiao, it seems like the BIG * is a part of your small background. You can add some text inside the *, name maybe or something.

          Thanks for the replies. Mario & Sweetpea, I noticed that star up there when I first started the site, but not sure what it's there for. It said something about subtitle or something like that but I can't do anything with it. It appears that when you click on it, it takes you back to the homepage.

          Graphics will have to come later, as I need to find someone who can spruce it up for me. This is my first site and I am NOT graphically inclined.

    hey there
    i like the header images.
    my first thing was the variable width, I personally prefer fixed width. With the size of monitors available, to have your site spread 2 feet across my screen is a pain, when i read the site it has the same effect as watching a tennis match!
    The image on the subpage, ( I went to bath) is broken up and pixely due to squishing of the image to fit. When I reduced the screen size, the image didnt fit on the screen, then when I viewed image, it was pretty massive.
    iI really recommend you resize those types of images so they fit cleanly and are sharper.
    Obviously you need a menu, contact info, privacy policy, what kind of security is used, how orders are processed, how are things shipped and so on.
    The colors work fine with what you are selling, the images on the header, not sure why the two people are on the tags, I would use that valuable space to promote products, or even better use them for a neat little site menu.
    You have some cute items!

      Thanks Linda. I actually did resize those, after I downloaded them though. When they first pop up they are 420 x 420 or something like that. Should I resize the original first then download that one?

      I'm working with tables so not sure how wide I should make it. Everything looks likes it on the screen going across to me though. Are you saying you get the horizontal scroll bar?

      Don't think I can do anything with the tags. They were part of the banner selection preloaded with the website. I had the idea of putting my products up there instead of the gifts/people, but don't know if I can swap them for my products.

      Not sure how to make a site menu. I thought that the tabs across the top would be enough. Not sure about what you mean by what type of security is used though. :confused: If your referring to payment security, I am using PayPal, so should I paste the PayPal logo on every page? I do have it on the about me page.

      Oh, before I forget...again. Since it's just me running the business, is it ok to put "about me" instead of "about us", or should I make it appear that "I have people"?

    I would limit the width. On my 22"and 30" monitors, it's insanely huge. Also you ask for personal information while giving absolutely no reason to do so. Why should I sign up other than you say so? Amazon doesn't. eBay doesn't, at least until it makes sense for me. I would strongly urge you to move that signup form elsewhere unless it's accompanied by a compelling offer.

    How's it look now? I just messed with it a little and got it narrower.

    I'm going to have to ditch the form Idea I think, because I don't think it works anyway. I was just looking for a way to capture the lookers information since I can get the buyers through PayPal. I can't do anything with that form anyway, because I'm not too good with html, so wouldn't know how to insert text on that screen, even if it let me.

    No one is looking at the big picture. Sorry, but there is way too much space, mainly because of big graphics, before visitors see the actually products. I am guessing your looking to sell and make money from the site, the products should be right there, without needing to scroll and they should be the main focus. Too many graphics and too much space distracting from the main goal of the site.

      Agree with Ron, the pics is too much big compare with the menu text. Try make the whole concept of ur website more balance and u can use that blank space with some info. The rest is good and i like that header. It shows u put an effort on that. And owh, nice color combination. Thanks.

    Okay well here goes. Its a really nice website. I have a high speed connection and it still loaded sort of slow. I think that its because many of the really nice pictures on the website are not compressed enough. Now I know that its hard to get them to be a smaller size without giving up the quality. But that could be one thing to look into. And as others have said, there is a lot of empty space right up near the top that looks like something should be there. You have a really nice website.
