How unstable is IE9 ?

I'm building a web page, and have re-coded the page and style sheets as many as 4 times, but branding bar and margins do not seem to follow the code. I coded it with IE8, things were fine. My question is: do any of you find any problems using IE9?

I think ie9 is probably the most stable version.

IE always requires special style sheet modification because it interprets the behaviour of default margins and other variables different than Firefox, Chrome, Safari and Opera.

It doesn't matter what version of IE you use (min. 6+). If your website looks okay with IE8, then it will be okay with IE9 as well.

    Hi Justay,

the only problem I've experienced so far is a problem with cufon fonts.
They don't work for some reason in IE9, but there's a fix for that on their website:

cufón - fonts for the people

Other than that, no pros with IE9 so far.

    Cheers,
    Rob

I would suggest you to code it for the rest of browsers because currently the biggest part of us use other web browsers like chrome, firefox etc.

You mentioned that you have recoded it. Did you modify the code or did you start from scratch?

From a tech point of view we are getting loads of repairs atm where IE9 just cannot connect properly to websites and logins.

Hopefully they will sort it out soon.

i think you should build your website focusing on other browsers such as Firefox, chrome and safari because IE generally sucks and it is not a Web Designer's friend.

A good website should be cross-browser compatible. The problem has something to do with the coding. You should use codes that fits to all browsers. But sometimes you just can't help it, page elements display differently in different browsers.

I would suggest you to make the codes relevant to other browsers like firefox, chrome etc., as most of the users are doesn't go with IE..So u can try do work with other browsers effectively

I had this problem early on too, and almost gave up on it... but it seems to improve with time... it's working flawlessly now, without me having to do anything to fix it... it could be the updates that did the trick or may be the program was trying to adapt itself, importing stuff and behaviors from other browsers and programs early on... whichever it was, it did the trick..

IE has very low users, you should make your design according to the mozilla and chrome...
