(Review My Design) - Lawn Service Directory

So I just finished my latest creation. And for once it isn't a dating website.. Although those are the most profitable, I can't compete with the company I work for (bunch of legal mumbojumbo) - so I am working on other means to make some quick cash.

While drinking with my buddy over thanksgiving we came across a grand idea.. Let's do what the big boys do (yelp, yellow pages, etc) on a smaller more personal level.

So we went ahead and started a Lawn Service and Landscape Company directory. We have two major goals here:

1) Rank high on google (we've pretty much got this down with our fatty location based seo link structure)
2) Make a nice clean effective design, that REAL business owners would want to be featured on.

So, without further adieu I present: Lawn Servicers | A Lawn Services and Landscaping Services Directory - the simplest way of finding a lawn service company near you!

Anyways, click around and let me know what you guys think of this design overall.. Any improvements I can make here?

Thanks Yall,

    Site looks really really nice!
Could use a bit more images, in my opinion!

    Cheers,

I would really try to keep them onsite. I think once they click on that business link and they go to Google you might lose them to the Google funnel instead of your own.

      Thanks for the responses!

I definitely agree about adding more images. I am actually working on finding some appropriate ones to get my message across a little better for the get-listed page and the other landscaping /lawn pages..

Regarding the Google Maps link comment:

My whole thing is if I helped the average user get something out of my site, then I have succeeded. Considering the fact that I am not converting actual users, I am just providing a free service for them: IE: Here's a phone number / maps link

The entire point of this is to (in the end) rank high locally on these keyterms, and then sell back to businesses in local areas in lieu of expensive google ads costs.

Obviously paying clients would have a much larger ad, and would not simply link to google maps (I was thinking a customer acquisition form / email sender for paying clients)

-- But that being said, the payment model is weeks away from being done. And the SEO is months away from ranking locally anywhere!

      Thanks for your input!
