Default WP Page template doesn't show - Please Help

I was adding a few custom page templates to one of my WP sites. When I was done, none of my pages were displaying, except for the ones with the custom page templates. Upon further checking, it looks as if the default page template is missing or unaccessible.

My default page template layout is two column, main content on left. If I select that on a page and then reload it, it looks great, but if i leave the template set to default, only a blank, white page shows up. That leads me to believe it's not setting the default to the right template.

I looked at the theme options in the editor, and it is set to two column, main content on right. I am in the process of going through and manually changing every page, but oh, my God, that is going to take a long time!

Any ideas would be supremely appreciated.

    The default should be named page.php - inside your theme folder. Is it there?

    Thanks for the tip! It is, in fact, missing. I must have accidentally nuked it when I was uploading the other template files. Does it change, or can I just replace it with the standard page.php file from the theme? I'm using it on another site, I can just copy it.

    If you have the original page.php of this theme (and you should have it on your machine as a backup ) then just upload it to the server.

    When it's present, and no other Page template is selected for a Page, WP will use it by default.
