Hello,

I have just bought the site in my signature and want to invest then make money out of it.
The above budget is for a whole year, no more! The goals of the site are to:
  • Have daily visitors per day around 30,000 and
  • Have avg daily profit over $70 and
  • Within 2012

Because I am new to online business and English is not my 1st language so as far as I can think of at the moment, there are 3 ways to invest:
  1. Any free WP Theme + Outsource copy writer based on suitable KWs + SEO ---> Get Adsense and aStore income
  2. A pet lovers social networking site + Donation to trustful pet charities networks + Outsource copy writer based on suitable KWs ---> Get Adsense and aStore income
  3. Try to build the site like 9gag or funcage but with only pet related photos and let it goes viral + SEO [But still unsure if it will work because it's about pet only] ---> Get Adsense income

From your business experience, kindly suggest/advise/criticize/recommend whether my budget is enough? If you have to choose from the 3 choices, which one would you go for, please? Feel free to share your ideas or thoughts.

Thank you very much for your time.

First you will need a niche to market - figure out what you will do to make money - are you going to advertise for pet supplies, services, etc. or are you going to try to drive all that traffic to your site and then use something like adsense?

second is you will need a good marketing strategy; sign up for all the good social media websites, get some good articles under your belt; publish them on your site and once google has crawled them, get them out to all the good article sites with good pr.

You will need to choose a list of words you are going to tackle depending on the niche you decide on- to do this I recommend market samurai or if you want something free use google keywords.

Once you have a list of these words then you will need to optimize your website with them; using them in your titile, meta description and in the body of your pages. shoot for a 4% density of these keywords in your content while still making sense to the user.

After you start to develop good traffic to your site then you can start to talk of making money off of it.

One thing to remember is that content is king so ad lots of relevant unique content to your site - and keep updating it every week or every month.

Thank you very much for your advice.

Do I need to choose only one, Adsense or aStore? Is it ok to add both of them, please?

Your site is obviously an auto-blog. That's not inherently a bad thing, but your case the autoblog is executed poorly.

For instance, I understand your site is intended to be about pets. But in your 'Cats' category you have an article titled 'Hatch: Obama is a ‘scaredy cat’' (Its a copy of this article here). This article has nothing to do with cats or pets but was clearly chosen by your autoblog script because it has the word 'cat' in the title.

In a nutshell, as is, this site will never be seen as high quality site by the search engines or by humans.

You do really need a plan. Even though theres a lot of content here, youre still starting at the beginning. Dont be so quick to spend your marketing budget just yet, $2500 can go a LONG way if you do it right.

First things first. The site is kinda jumbled with little direction, and as mentioned there's content thats not relevant. A theme update would be beneficial. You were looking for a free wordpress theme. Simplefolio, recommended by a guru, looks nice and clean. I havent tried it personally because I usually build my own. Customize it for your niche with images and a nice logo... Then go through your content and delete all the unrelated posts, you know about Obama and investing.

I think your site would benefit so much by starting with research. Hop in a pet forum and start making friends and taking notes. Find the problems pet owners face, like training problems, scratching problems etc. Find the things pet owners LOVE, like new products, shows & competitions - what makes them love and bond with their pets more. Then find out the things they're afraid of, like their pets health, losing a pet (running away and death). These notes should transform into a list of topics for articles. They should also give you product ideas to affiliate with and promote on your site.

When you find the topics, do your keyword research to learn how to phrase your content precisely. Also look at the cost per click (CPC) in the keyword tool. If you find some winners, go for adsense! (cpc over $1, high local monthly [exact] searches 500-1,000, HIGH competition in this tool)

Build content based on what you find out. If you LOVE this niche, you can write your content yourself. If you dont or dont have time, use your budget to hire writers and people to build backlinks for you on a consistent basis. Also, invite your new forum friends to your website to answer their questions.

With that, you should start see more traffic. Check stats to see what people are finding you for and where theyre coming from. Do more of what's working. Write more articles based on what's popular.

Hopefully by now, you'll have people commenting on the articles and on facebook (i see that theres a page linked with the site) This should give you more insight into what pet owners want from you. Keep asking questions and getting answers.

By now, you should have a very good idea of what product/info/service to promote. Learn how to optimize your home page and your sidebar + 'after content' area for the things you've decided to promote.

Best of luck to you! I hope you meet your goals and kill it with this site. It has potential!

Thank you. That was what I feel exactly when I first get the site. The appearance of the site will be changed ENTIRELY by Feb with new look and contents, no more auto blog.
