Please Review My New WP Theme

Hi Fellow Warrior,

I am still learning how to make wordpress theme and i am try to practice what i am learning.

I would like to get some feedback from you, here is the link:

(PS: This new site is an example i make to use my wp theme, the content is only example articles. thanks to ThinkDesignBlog.com for the free content. And what i am asking is the design, many great thanks)

      Yes i hope. I design this theme for marketer and for business . but it still need more finishing.

      May be you can give some suggestion for this theme to be well enough for marketing and business.

  • looks good... great start

    my only suggestion would be to keep it uniformed across the entire site, at the moment your home page and the other pages can appear to be 2 different sites, ie the home page is colorful (possibly too colorful) and incorporates a bunch of images etc and the rest are very plain.

    and tidy up the spacings between blocks

  • All in all pretty good!

    Some ideas would be making the header optional, so it just has the video / form box at the top. I'd also suggest adding optional fields to the form such as phone.

  • Jumpa, I've reviewed your theme and here are some of my thoughts:

    - the graphics look a touch dated, however depending on your use, that's not necessarily a "deal killler"
    - it's fairly cluttered at some points, perhaps some whitespace to even out the flow of information
    - the information hierarchy (headings vs. content vs. sub-headings vs. links, etc) is a little unclear to me - judge what information is the most important to your readers/end user and colour/size/font accordingly

    I've been designing for quite a few years and here's a quick resource from wikipedia that I still find helpful:

    look up "principles of art" --- sorry, I'd post the link, but I'm new

    I wouldn't dare say that art and design are the same thing, but the principles are very useful.

    Also, check out conceptfeedback.com. It's a community of designers dedicated to trial by fire (aka design reviews).

  • Good Design Need little improvement. Make your custom design rather to picking up the images from the net....

    use photoshop ...for making custom designs.

  • Stop for a minute and read everything you can get about Typography. Then do the same for User Interface. That should help you clean up some ideas and small mistakes.
