    First you log into your Google Adsense account.
    Look for create new ad.
    Make sure your sizes are the right size for the area your going
    to put the ad into on your site.
    You design the ad first, then you get the code at the end.
    Copy, paste the code either into a side widget area
    or in the article itself.
    Hope this helps

    Login there

    If you already have a Google Adsense account, you can also add the ads "old-school", e.g.:
    Code:
    <script type="text/javascript"><!--
    google_ad_client = "pub-000000000000000000";
    google_ad_width = 468;
    google_ad_height = 60;
    google_ad_format = "468x60_as";
    google_ad_type = "text_image";
    google_ad_channel ="";
    google_color_border = "FFFFFF";
    google_color_bg = "FFFFFF";
    google_color_link = "000000";
    google_color_url = "999999";
    google_color_text = "333333";
    //--></script>
    <script type="text/javascript"
      src="http://pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/show_ads.js">
    </script>
