I have pages created more than 10 years ago with <font> tags etc - written before I got into CSS.
No negative impact on SEO or SERPS as far as I can tell...

Onpage SEO is mostly about what is visible to the reader.
Exceptions include <meta> and 'alt' tags etc.

As far as I am aware, using CSS has no impact on SEO.

It does make updates easier tho'...

      Regards,
      Kev

<font> tags are considered deprecated and outdated. They will not have any immediate effect on SEO, but they also provide no value to your SEO.

To say that they don't affect SEO isn't "entirely" accurate. Although minimal, by having font tags in place you are requiring the search engine to still parse through every font tag to find its content, removing these would be good practice for the future.

We are moving towards a more semantic web, but still at the end of the day Google likes content best. Google/Bing will index outdated code just the same, but it wouldn't hurt to transition away from the deprecated code.

the font tags are pretty outdated, though still work. I would not jump into CSS if you re new to it, at least not for this simple of a mtter. Search for the php code to change and add font color, height, etc...
