I've done some research and bought a couple of WSO's

And I'm ready to make my first amazon micro niche site.

What Wordpress theme should I use for it?

- prefebly a free theme, but I can pay.

If I were to get a paid theme I would not spend over $40

Click Bump is best for micro niche sites. Its starter version is at 17$.

You can go for it at

      Hi,
Does the $27 package include the skins/templates as in your Signature's demo sites ?

ClickBump 5 is a framework, similar to Thesis and Genesis, but optimized for ad management with a dedicated "Ad Manager". It can be customized with off the shelf template skin packages for creating Squeeze pages, sales letters, local business sites, silo'd authority sites and adsense/amazon review sites.

Two days before I purchased clickbump and installed it in some of my adsence and Amazon sites, I must say clickbump loads sites faster than my old bulky themes..

        Very satisfied with it...

The clickbump site says they provide
six months of free version upgrades at no extra charge after purchase
.. how much will that be after 6 months if you need to download the latest version if any ?

I use Socrates, really easy to use and have made some great site for local business using it.

My only criticism would be the heavy grey boarders around the page, which i'm sure you could get rid of if you are happy to mess about with code? I'm not...so hopefully version 3 (due any day) will resolve that issue.

I know this is costly but I have seen Azon Theme being recommended by many people who promote amazon products. The only downside is the price (77USD) of this theme

Chris Guthrie on Warrior Forum has given this theme for free on his Niche Course WSO.

There are hundreds of themes for you to choose from here: http://wordpress.org/extend/themes/

As a seasoned Amazon seller myself, I would advise you not to go with an Amazon review theme already used by many other marketers/reviewers.

Even though I'm a marketer myself, nothing for me is a bigger tun-off than searching for information on a product, and all the information comes laid out in the same themes. It looks old, stereotyped, and almost false.

I try to always go for themes no-one else is using and consequently, all my reviews are different and stand out from the crowd. I believe that being different from everyone else is critical today.

My vote is Thesis, it is a bit pricey but the default look is clean, uncluttered and easy on the eye, perfect for drawing attention to your content and links rather than your fancy theme!

There are plenty of great themes out there. Personally I like going to ThemeForest. They have plenty of awesome themes for low prices. I am not way affiliated with them (dont want to get in trouble), but I have had positive experiences using their services. Hope this helps!

To be honest, if you are planning on making a bunch of sites and really getting into IM, you should get a framework like Genesis or Thesis and get to know it really well. These can be used for giant authority sites, little one-page sales sites or anything in between. And you can make it look like a real website, not some crappy review site.

If you want something that's just tailored for product reviews, go with Colleen's WordPress Review Theme or the ProReview Theme.

I use thesis for one of my sites but it doesn't stand out as particularly amazing. I do find it hard to customize and make it look the way I want it.
Problogger uses the genesis theme and it looks nice. I'm not going to pay for another premium theme, but I would recommend it:

I started using this free theme called Arnica, which you can get from Themeforest, and I actually like it better for overall look and customization.

I'll throw out another vote for ClickBump if you're on the cheap and for Genesis if you've got some extra cash to spend (Even though it's still only like $60 plus themes).

For micro sites, though, especially if you're just getting started, I don't see anything wrong with picking out a free theme and using that at least until you make your first sales. For some reason, free themes always get a bad rap here on WF, but there's really no reason for that. yes, some of the free themes are poorly coded, yes a lot of the free themes don't have all of the features of their premium brethren, and yes a lot of them have links coded into the footer and other stuff like that. BUT, not all of them… There are still plenty of free themes that look great and function extremely well, better than most premium themes even. Just Google top 10 free WordPress themes for a few ideas.

Some good paid themes are, Talian 05, Socrates and Authority Pro. These three themes were all designed by marketers, for marketers.

It also depends what you want to do on the site. review sites should have a nice, inviting look to them, and would have a different look than a store loaded with products. Basically pick a free theme that has lots of tweakable options.

I'm newer to SEO and wordpress, but after a couple of weeks worth of research I seem to get hear people rave about thesis more than any other. It's a bit pricey: $87 for a single website or $164 for unlimited use. I'm still trying to decide if I should go with it or not.

Great discussion but just a reminder - people spend WAY too much time browsing themes and playing with layout/headers/colors and WAY too little time creating new content, researching new niches and doing SEO.

Keep the end goal in mind!
