How to add blog to a website - advisable or not?

Hi,

I have a couple of questions:

1. Would it be recommendable to move or add somehow my stand alone blog to my website - they are both related to the same kind of information and complements each other well.

2. If you do think it is a good way to proceed, how would you recommend doing it. By using mydomain.com/blog or by simply linking to it from my website so the visitor then is taken to the stand alone blog.

3. Currently my blog gets between 500 and 2000 hits per day, but my website does not - hence why I thought it might be a good idea :-)

Any ideas or advice is gratefully accepted.

    I would surely recommend having a blog with a website. It increases search engine visibility and visitor time period on your website.

    site.com/blog is much better to use.

      Thank you so much for taking the time to reply - it is a very confusing world out there for us non techies :-)

      just out of interest....would you use the current blogname or just the word blog, what I mean is: mydomain.com/myblogsname or mydomain.com/blog - any idea if it makes any difference to the search engines?
