I've bought a HTML mobile template based on JQuery, which means it's pure

HTML and CSS, there is no such thing as CMS.

I know a little bit of HTML and all I need to do is changing the titles, Logo and editi the contact PHP.

I have a Mac, how would you do that - I am used to Wordpress, I just didn't

thought when I bought the current theme - but I am keen to learn how to let it

work!

Thank you for any help! (Youtube video, PDF, Programm, etc)

  • Edit it in the Mac equivalent of a plain text editor, like Notepad on Windows.

    • Thats right any text editor will do the job
  • installing firefox with firebug will also help you analyze what code, files, images, css styles etc that need to be changed - i use it daily!

    • That helped me a lot! Thank you!

Now I only have the problem that when I load my bought template into Firefox, start Firebug, edit the theme like I want it, that when I save it, it doesn't look like I changed it.

Instead it looks strange and the framework isn't there anymore...

I mean why when I edit it - and I can see that it looks like I want it - doesn't it anymore when I save it?

I hope you understand what I mean and that you can explain me how I can solve it...

      Thank you again!

      Edit:

Okay, I understand now that Firebug is a "on-the-fly" application. It doesn't save the file without touching the css.

You have any suggestions for a computer program for Mac that let me work with the index html?

Basically a program that shows the html files (like Firebug when you drop them in the browser) but that a save mode is actually available?
