Source code =/= HTML on Wordpress

WEB DESIGN

I want to edit a code that I found on my source code when I ctrl+U on my website. But when I go to my editor on wordpress, it doesn't show it. Most of the codes like my pages html to set a nofollow, changing my google analytics all doesn't show up on my html editor on wordpress but shows up when I view the source code of my website.

I google search it up and no one seems to ask this question.

First of all, do you mean the WordPress Posting Editor or do you mean the Theme Editor - two different things?

I would suggest you perhaps use firefox and get Firebug or if you prefer google chrome and use the firebug light version so you can more accurately inspect your page codes.

  Still not clear which editor you are talking about, there are two, so lets clarify that for a start..
  
  To get to the editor you are talking about did you:
  
  1) Go to add new post (or add new page) and then switched this editor from Visual to html? OR
  
  2) Go to APPEARANCE and then Editor from your left hand side dashboard menus? (this one takes you to the themes files, which I would not suggest you attempt to edit at this stage).
  
  To answer your question, Firebug (on firefox browser) or Firebug lite (on Chrome browser) are browser add ons. They allow you to inspect (see) elements on whichever page of a site you are looking at. You can then edit certain parts of it which allows you to "See" how the change would look BUT it does not actually make the edit live.. the editing would then have to happen most likely in the theme files (see 2) above).
  
  So that people here can possibly help you more, please state exactly what it is you are wanting to do.

  My editor meaning, Appearance -> Editor not Add post or page -> Visual or HTML.
  
  To me, firebug is almost the same as pressing CTRL+U on a page. It displays all the html stuff. That's what I want to do. Edit some of the things in there that my source code displays but not when I'm in the wordpress editor.
  
  Things like my Google analytics and my pages html that I want to make nofollow.

I swear i've already posted in this thread.:confused:

You want to edit links in your wordpress site to be nofollow and also edit your google analytics code, right?
you don't see google analytics code when you edit your theme files, right?
Does your theme have an option/plugin to insert google analytics code?

You need to provide more info about your theme/website so we can help you better.

Right.
Right.
I don't think so. I'm using heatmap v5 as my theme.

I'm not sure what info do you want me to provide. Cause from what I know most of the themes don't have any special access to edit the source code straight which is what I want to do.

1) Edit analytics code (which I can't view in my html editor on wordpress)
2) Add rel=nofollow to pages on my website (which I can't view in html editor too)

I think it will be quicker for you and you will learn more if you use WordPressORG to find out how to do these things.. so I have done a search for you over there so here are some starting point:
