  The whole thing is part of an advanced CMS I wrote for my main site (Fellow GEEK - your daily source for geek news.) and written in PHP. I have been working on the CMS for a year, but the magazine component part took me 3 months but it is not finished, it's a beta product at this point.
  
  I call the magazine component "uberpub" and plan to licence the code when it's done. (maybe I do a WSO first )
  
  I like to know what do you think about the design, and performance of the site.

Hey fellowgeek,

My honest opinion is that the design seems kind of un-inspiring and looks like every other news site out there (maybe not a bad thing though?). It might just be personal preference but I don't like sites that are overly crowded; my first impression was that there's a Lot to look at.

Also, the first thing I normally do is run my mouse across the navbar and if I don't get a mouse-over I probably won't even click them. I'm a whore like that! A red or white mouse-over bar might liven it up a bit.

The site is more of a showcase for the software. I did not really do any keyword research, so the traffic is terrible but when people come to the site they will stay for 5min average. bounce rate is between 20-30%.

I chose this geeky topics just because I was interested in geeky stuff, I am glad you like it.

for me it looks fantastic and pretty, people would like to stay on your site and read your infos. The ads are set up nicely, and for sure you will get a lot of click. What I would suggest is just testing some set up and see they way that will go. for sure with your site on this forum you will get a lot of traffic.
