Hi there everyone,

Just wondering if people had any good alternatives to the very popular WP theme OptimizePress?

I'm looking to find other great themes that i can compare to and that have similar functionality and use.

Thanx a million ;0)

A pretty similar one, not with the exact same specifications, is JV Press. It has endless possibilities and you can create a page and have it up running literally in no time.

Give it a shot. But OptimizePress is the best for me.

Optimize Press works — why look for an alternative?

You can always roll your sleeves up and write some PHP to customize it even further.

I would just like know what all my options are before going ahead and purchasing. How does Optimize Press compare against some of the others mentioned in this thread?

OptimizePress is great except it's a simplistic theme, perfect for a squeeze page but not for an entire website I think. I publish an online magazine (SunGoddess Magazine), and I don't want my website look like the optimize press theme. I'd love to have my website look pretty and then on the side, create a nice, simple yet professional-looking squeeze page with Optimizepress. Is there a plugin you know that could do the same than optimizepress?

Again thanks for all the reply's.

Chris, I understand what you're saying, it does alot ;0)

I was just asking out of curiosity, not needing it
to do any one specific thing as such, but more wanting
to know if there are others that do the same or maybe more
    for a better price.

From all the suggestions so far I can see that most of these
themes are in the same sort of price range, but as for features
I'm a tad confused as to which one has more bang for the buck.

Anyway, with the fear that I might start rambling if I'm not carefull,
I'm signing off for now. Cheerz

I used ProfitsTheme it works great and have the same price range. If you want to build a membership site, then OptimizePress and ProfitsTheme are the best.

You don't really have to stick with wordpress, you can use normal static HTML/CSS files. You can make pretty unique designs and concepts. I would advise you to go with static HTML/CSS unless you really intend to buy wp theme.

Further, OptimizePress doesn't really have a good alternative. Either go with that or go with some static ones.

Old thread but the subject can be relevant anytime.

      I second iuditg definitively.

If it's for a landing page, build your own, the html/css knowledge required is VERY basic and you can focus on best practices, A/B testing, CMO etc...
Why using the very same landing page as thousands of online marketers while you can use the rocket science offered by landing page optimization studies from companies like marketingsherpa ?

If you are a newbie it's still ok, you can use a simple wysiwyg editor.

A few companies like Hubspot, symantec etc have landing page that are proven to work and that costed them thousands of dollars to develop. Doing a 1:1 copy is nonsense but you can get inspiration from them and customize your page for your specific needs.

The best part is that you can use free A/B/multivariate testing tools like Google's one and test your design/copy again and again until you have the best conversions.

It may sound complicated but believe me it becomes natural when you invest a few hours of your time on it.

OptimizePress and other themes are great if you want a ready made, but I don't believe in one-size-fits-all stuff when it comes to marketing.

OP check out leadpages.com. Also if you don't have any specific reason not to use Optimizepress, you won't do a wrong thing if you go with it, is a very good product.

    Hi everyone,

I stumbled upon this thread in a search for alternatives to OP. It appears that OP is the popular choice. With that in mind, and hoping to preserve my ElegantThemes sites "as is" - would it be advisable to set up OP on a subdomain of my site, and leave my primary site unfettered by OP's cookie-cutter styles?

    Many thanks in advance,
    Laurie
