Need a good form builder

Hi there fellow warriors.

I have some wordpress sites and they are hosted by hostgator. I REALLY need a form builder that I can use to build forms, validate the html and then set them up in my Cpanel or through FTP.

I don't want to sign up for a monthly service as I only need one or two forms for now and may not need many more.

Any direction would be great and I don't mind having to learn a few things. i don't know how to write the php to get the script working so I need the software to be able to build the form and then allow me to set it up in Cpanel or through FTP.

Thanks very much in advance.

Brian

    • I usually like to code my forms customly, i have form builders. Shoot me a PM and i can help you.
  • Try using Contact form 7 Plugin. I use that for most of my sites. It's free and it has awesome capabilities to customize your form the way you want.

Also go here : WordPress › WordPress Plugins

Search for contact form, you would find tons of wordpress plugins for free.

    • More robust than Contact7 is Gravity Forms but it isn't free.
  • That kinda doesn't make sense.

A "form" in itself doesn't do anything. Ever. If you don't have the infrastructure behind it (be it from an AR service or your own) - you will achieve absolutely nothing.

Since you mentioned AR services, I guess you would like to collect email addresses/subscribers.

Well, as I said: a form in itself, without the software behind it, will not help you.

Maybe, instead of posting what you thought you needed (form builder) you should post what you really want to do. And then these helpful folks might be able to provide you with the right advice.

    • I have to say that I find Wordpress Form Manager to be way the best. I've created some really complex forms using it, and once, when I had an issue, the support was brilliant. I recommend it highly.

  • Have you looked at JotForm? We offer JotForm with our hosting, but you can also go directly to JotForm...
  • Contact form 7 Plugin is the best and works great
  • I think for what you have described the following program would be just perfect for you.

MachForm – PHP HTML Form Builder

It's a one off fee, self hosted, simple and easy to use.
And I so wish they had an affiliate program!
  • Try these plugins for form building. Hope it will work for you.

WordPress › FormBuilder « WordPress Plugins
WordPress › Visual Form Builder « WordPress Plugins

  • I currently configure a wooCommerce Theme for a client. normaly there is no issue at all as the documentation is well explained. unfortunately i dont get help in the Forum and need some help. All i need to know is, whether you would be willing to give me a tip how i can create such a ordering page like this (see URL) in Gravity Forms (dev.). I installed the necessary Plugins already for the ecommerce Theme.
In short words, lets say, on a page the 3 steps with different ways to select options for the Product they selected at the beginning then upload a file and as they go further they can add additional items and check out ... lets say a simplification of this way here --- Order Online . I would also pay you something if you could give me a short advice that i am able to start because i dont know how to start with such a form like this....
Thank you so much for any feedback or advice. I really appreciate that.
    God bless you
