Hi - what software would you recommend using if you're interested in making your own banners? CorelDraw, Adobe Photoshop or something else?

If you are planning on making just a few personal banners, Banner Maker Pro will be more than sufficient. Otherwise, I use Adobe PhotoShop and Adobe Illustrator.

Photoshop can be very good if you know how to use it correctly and have the time to study it. I would say if you do not have the time then just try and purchase Banner Maker 8

If you are looking for an easy simple to use graphic creator I would recommend XHeader it is super easy and quick to whip up a banner.

If you are looking for more advanced designs then Gimp (which is free) or Photoshop are the best.

photoshop is first choice for graphic design software,
but if you just wanna make 1 or 2 banner, use a free tool like GIMP or PAINT.NET
it's very useful tools before you spent your money to buy software

You can't go wrong with Adobe products.. I use photoshop to do small-big tasks from creating a simple banner to editing photographs used for stock images, printing, etc.. Just one great software worth every penny.

There's a great little vector program called Inkscape - I use that for all the artwork I need to create. I find Photoshop is complete overkill.
