  • Photoshop and Illustrator
  • these are - photoshop, illustrator, dreamweaver and using html. it depends on your knowledge and requirement.
  • I use Photoshop to create the actual site graphics.
  • for development notepad++ or use Dreamweaver for designing use Photoshop, and flash for animation
  • Photoshop and Illustrator
  • Are you asking about software for a web developer? If so, what type of programming language will you be using. If it is java/html/css I would suggest using IntelliJ Idea or Eclipse (free). For photos I would use Photoshop.

Everyone knows that Photoshop is a superb graphics editing program,
and for making website Dreamweaver is an outstanding visual HTML editor and code editor..
  • Dreamweaver is the best for the code, but don't rely on it too much as you want to actually understand the code and how it works.

For designing the layout it is best to make it in Photoshop

If you cant afford these programs then you can use GIMP instead of Photoshop and Fronpage instead of Dreamweaver
  • html code on its own is not enough..i take it if your using html your using css as well..or you are all ready a web designer looking to now create the graphics yourself..

You will need a good knowlage of both photoshop and illustrator , also use firewoks.

There are free softwares such as gimp, inkscape both capable of creating good graphics..

Corel draw is another one thats good and probably easyer to master than photoshop..
  • Dreamweaver or Photoshop. Either one of the is the best
  • Fireworks CS5 is an amazing tool with which to "web-optimize" your graphics - the advantage of this tool is that its amazing for getting the best compromise between file size and quality.
  • No software required. Just Joomla!, a text editor, and google chromes "inspect element" feature. Well... maybe photoshop for the graphic design work..
