Need Help! Wordpress to host

I am new to this,Just finished my web site on wordpress,and can't figure out how to go live with it. I thought that if wordpress was part of my c-panel it would be easy to go live.please can anyone give me some direction? Thank You Jerry

  • Well... What do you mean by "finished my web site on wordpress"? :confused:
  • Did you install it through CPanel using Fantastico or Softaculous? If so, chances are you installed it in a subfolder. Go back to the program you used to install it and it should show you a link to where it is installed. If it is in a subfolder you'll have to move the files to the public_html folder and change some settings in the config file and in the database.
  • I install it using Softaculous, If I backed it up using Softaculous in a zip file, could I then unzip it in my file manager and upload to public html would that work

    • that will work, just make sure you verify the information in the wp-cofig.php file

  • You can just move everything using file manager and then update your config.php and several database settings. If you want someone to do it for you, let me know.
