feedback on new squeeze page/pop up

i updated my squeeze page to a video squeeze page on a popup. i'm hoping to get higher sign up conversion.

feedback please.

  • Well, personally I don't watch videos on video squeeze pages. I know a lot of people do... but I don't personally. I'm sure other people are the same way so maybe a little text explaining what you are offering might help.

  • I'd get rid of all the Youtube buttons. So it's just the video frame. It'll look a little more professional.. I think anyways.

  • I thought it sucked for the most part, the video was not done well, I have no idea what Im getting or why I should sign up for you list.

    I think asking someone to committ nearly 40 seconds to watching a boring video before even seeing what your blog is about might be a tall obstacle to climb.

    You may also want to consider embedding the video in right sidebar above the optin in form as an alternative.

    • I'm trying to get away from a straight squeeze page. My concept is to let them see the blog behind the popup so they want to see content. Maybe I can delay the popup for 20 seconds.

      I will redo the video to include more information about what they are getting. I thought I would stay away from a 'produced' video so it would give it more of a human feel to build a connection with the viewer.

      I will plan to reshoot the video.

  • UPDATE: What I'm trying to get across is that I'm successful and I want to share that with others. I've been blessed to have been able to study success and have been successful in many ventures. Now I want to share that in the success manual I wrote.
    How do I write up that for my squeeze popup?

  • The video on the squeeze page is unique. What's the main action you want your visitors to take? Your website is all over the place. I have no idea what to do next after arriving at your site. How are you monetizing it besides Adsense?

      Current action is to sign up for my mailing list.
      Next action is to read some of the post and enjoy the videos I posted.
      I'm building a relationship through the mailing list.
      I'm starting to focus my blog post on specific strategies of living successful and leaving out more of the 'fun' stuff.
      Currently only adsense, but writing the first manual and it will be only available for sale once finished.
      After that I'm going to write another manual in real estate, where I made all my money.

      What else do you suggest?

  • videos are not good on squeeze pages. Most people will look at the video and leave. Or not look at all. It is better to get the info first and then show the video.
