Can Anyone Recommend a Web Designer With Great Talent?

Im starting a new Premium/Authority blog and I'm in need of a designer who can create a premium web 2.0 style blog design for me.

I've searched and searched and every designer that I find (through simple google searches) appear to be very inexperienced, with most of their portfolio consisting of blog designs with plain header graphics, bland footers... etc, etc.

So can someone please direct me towards an experienced web designer.

NOTE**I have tried 99 designs..no luck there either.

The OP asked for recommendations... (not your offers!)

Every post offering their own services will be deleted.

    Hey Rich,

You might want to take a look at a user on the forum with the user name "d3sign3r". I got him to do some simple work for me a couple of years ago (it was only a report cover) but he was great and I seem to remember his warrior threads being filled with glowing reports.

    Good luck mate.

I'd go to Themeforest.net and look through themes until you find one that impresses you - then contact the theme designer and see if they will build you a custom site . . . or just buy the theme and modify it to suit you.

I recommend going to Elance.com or other freelancing websites and posting your job there.

You will get tens of offers. It's easy to sort through them. Every freelancer has a profile, and on that profile you will see the feedback they have received from different clients.

Be sure to check out their portfolio and if they had any recent jobs. Don't turn down the ones who ask for more money. If you want somebody that does excellent work then you'll have to cough up some money .

I recommend Elance.com as opposed to others because it actually costs you money to be their member and apply to jobs. That helps weed out the poor developers.

I suggest using odesk, we use them for all our websites we build. They seem to have contractors priced much lower than elance. (i have used both) I like to hire "part-time" designers so i have more control and they can work on projects and updates as needed. I keep a $5 an hour designer/programmer on staff at only 5-15 hours per week....cheap!

Also created this video about oDesk:

    Hope it helps
