WP Plugin question!

I hope someone can help! I installed the WP plugin "mls search real estate cloud" for a client. Her theme/template is very dark and the catagory words don't show up. ie: city, area, #beds and so on. The color of the catagories is a dark grey, I would like to change them to white, but do not know where to go to do so, or if it's even possible! Can a person edit a plugin when it's a paid plugin? They publisher of this plugin wants to charge me over a 100 bucks to do this! I say, it's your plugin, you should edit it so I can use it! I cannot change realtors template, she really loves it....

  • Any web styles can be changed with CSS.

    A plugin adds functionality and should stay away from style as little as possible, which is what that plugin is doing. It'll look good in a standard black on white design. After that, it's up to the user of the plugin to customize how it looks. There's no way a plugin developer can make it look right in every site.

    You should edit your theme's CSS (style.css) file to customize the parts that look weird.

    • Thank you developdaly! You sure made that sound easy! Now, any idea on how to do that? I'm not a coder, hence the WP theme. I really appreciate you taking the time for me!
  • Honestly, you'd have to know CSS. What has to happen is understanding the HTML and CSS already applied so you can overwrite/create styles.
