My first impression was positive for graphics and posts are interesting for wordpress new users. I suggest u to submit your site at WPforbeginners or WPmayor. Have a good luck.

  Thanks for the great comments, appriciate it. I will take a look at the footer as I agree that it still needs some work.
  
  Also need to spice up my newsletter subscription form on the bottom of each post, right now it's still pretty plain.
