HELP: cPanel/Website Transfer

Hello... I'm obviously a newb to the website business. I've recently purchased a website from a person. Since I don't know how to install the site, he is willing to do it for me but is asking for my cpanel login ID and password. He said FTP login info is not sufficient.

Can anyone tell me what information is needed for the third party to install a website on my server?

If I give my cpanel info, wouldn't they be able to steal my files from my other sites if they wanted to? For example, if I was hosting number of sites on a shared hosting, wouldn't they be able to simply download the files from my other sites?

Any assistance would be appreciated. Thank you.

You can give control panel details to that particular domain... that will be good

Depends on the type of web sites needing to be uploaded: any sites requiring a database to be setup, would need cpanel access. Also, if the domain needs to be setup as an add-on domain to your hosting, that would need cpanel access for that as well.

If these are just plain html sites, FTP access should suffice and you can create an FTP user to limit them to just the domain they need to be uploading files into.
