Implementing A Member's Page

I have an ebook I'll be promoting soon, with a bunch of extra's (video's, an audiobook etc..) I'd like to include. Rather than just bundle them all in a zip file, I'd like to create a member's only page that people will get a username and password they can login with emailed to them when they make a purchase.

I was wondering if anyone could give me some advice on how to go about actually implementing this. I made the landing page in wordpress, but I'm not sure if wordpress' account system will work for it or not.

I especially have no idea how to implement having a unique username and password sent to someone after a purchase is made. Thanks for any advice!

I think your best bet is anything but WordPress for this. I've seen it done before, but I've seen a lot of holes in it - people can generally bypass the members-only restrictions and get the content anyway.
