Review my website

Honestly I can say what I dont like:

You logo looks very dated like back in the 1980's
The color scheme of the background with green grass doesnt mix
The globe, dont see how that has to do with hybrid cars
Dont like the postion or the way you are showing your RSS feeds including background color

What I do like is you have some good infomation but can be lated out differently

You may want to consider ... add to your SEO with better descriptions and keywords

Honest opinion - the whole website looks very dated like the above guy has said it all looks like it was designed when the internet first came around haha. Check out a few premium themes on wordpress or something and then build a site of the back of that.

I am a VERY STRONG advocate of using themes to learn web design. Start tweaking themes and after 10-15 sites you will be able to make a site from scratch.

Google '[insert cms platform] theme" (ie: 'wordpress theme' or 'joomla theme' etc)

Using a professionally designed theme will portray a professional company.

I would recommend getting a fresh design for your site. It looks outdated to say the least and the logo could be more creative.

I haven't been paying attention to the appearance of web sites to comment on whether it's dated, but I, too, dislike the color scheme. The change from blue to green below the fold is kind of jarring. I almost didn't notice your blue text on the green background. Even after I saw it, it was awfully hard to make out what it says.

The background for your invitation to subscribe is lighter green on darker green, which should work, but it appears to be a lighter shade of a different green. Go to a hardware store and look at paint chips; each chip looks good, provided that you like the basic color in the first place. But the light green on one won't look nearly as good with the dark green on any other than it does with the darker green on the same chip.

I don't know if it's my computer or your site, but it took quite a while to load, and then a bit too long for the next page to come up when I clicked on a link.

I do understand the point of the globe on a hybrid car site, as I labor in the sustainability field myself. But if very many other people don't get it, you'll do better to find something else.

As far as content is concerned, I would add a brief about page. I can't easily tell how you intend to make money from the site. Not that you'd want to spell it out, but among other things an about page can plant some ideas in visitors' heads as they explore.

I would also recommend that you proofread the prose carefully, or get someone else to do it. I saw a few glaring errors.

On the whole, though, everything I suggest only amounts to tweaking a very well-thought out site.

hi it is functional, however it is a little hard on the ayes and looks like a good site from 10 years ago. Maybe work on template and header.

you should have add some colorful images and attractive banner also.
I think you have to work hard to develop.

You havent created the Logo well.

For this site im with SBI Block builder. It only has basic themes. I can upload images ( logo, background, ect) but nothing worth wild. I cant even load those images as a theme. I have to put them in one at a time. I can change all most any thing I want as for changing sizes and placement but that's it. One of thing biggest problems I have is I cant upload a plugin into the builder.

Any ideas on what I can do. Are there any code plugins I can put in the HTML code? Like a WP plugin but in code? I'm new to this so bare with me. Thank you for the imput. Every time I change some thing it gets better and better.

I would say move off of the builder, onto wordpress, and get a nice car theme for like $40. Also, study copywriting.

What would you recommend for copywriting the homepage? More pics with previewed articles?

I agree with mikedex . Redesign the site . It looks as a 25 years old website . and there are toooo many ads .

I like your concept. But design is not attractive.
If you change background and banner, I hope it will be more attractive.

What would you recommend? I spent hours finding that banner. I don't want it to crowded. I don't want pointless atrative things to take away the point of the website. Trying to get targeted traffic for hybrid cars and alternative energy. I thought the slide show was a good eye catcher before the page fold. I looked at top websites for hybrid cars and I think my home page would be better on grabbing personal attention then just selling them some thing. I just want to get this website done as for looks so I can move on my other 2.

Your site is Looking better then we I saw it the first time. I would still make modifications to the design. You could always just get a theme that would pop your page and could use it for all three sites you have with some changes to the design. Several examles in this thread. Everyone here is trying to help you so dont take it the wrong way when you receive neg feedback. If I was in shoes I would have to spend alot more time then its worth with your current design then just getting a new theme for your niche. Just my 2 cents...

Ok my 2c worth:
1) You need another theme - Those funny buttons in the left sidebar on a grey background sucks
2) That shivering banner? Any site that displays that make me leave immediately
3) Your target public are responsible "green" people not petrolheads.

The top image is ok and the page layout is ok.

The buttons on the left side of the screen are hard to read and are poor design. They remind me of what FrontPage would spit out back in the early 90's. Clean them up and you'll see visitors click them more often.

My initial reaction to the Elite Hybrid Cars site is that there is way too much information on that Home page. And I don't know if it's the font (or size of it) or the placement but it just looked uninteresting. I didn't care to read any of it. I would think your Home Page would be more effective if it just as minimal information about what one will find on your website. "Less is more" in this case. I do like the logo banner. Grabbed my attention. So maybe try to make the rest of the Home page as attention getting.

Looking good bro, but u must take care of some basic things like the interface is long to scroll down, it shouldnt be like this. Other thing that the email subcription option should be at side not in the center lower point it gives an odd look/unprofessional look. If evrything will be organised according to site structure then it will be great success.

Thanks for the help. I think I got it this time. Shortened the page up and added a remember to subscribe. I dont know how that bottom left ad is going to be.
