Hello

I am building a new website that can accept payment via Paypal.

But how do I deliver my eBook automatically after the payment is being received?

Use WordPress along with any digital download store plugin.

After payment is complete, you have the option while setting up the PayPal payment button to automatically forward purchasers to a download page on your website.

      See under
Step 3: Customize advanced features (optional)

[Check Box] Take customers to this URL when they finish checkout

        Hi Annie,

How do we prevent the customer to share the link?

Is there a way to limit the download?

What I typically do is once the customer is done at pay pal I have them sent to an opt in form where I catch their email. They are then sent directly to a download page. They also receive a nice greeting via email with an additional link to the download page.

      Thank Bret,

      It's a very good strategy.

Actually, a very BAD strategy: if Paypal finds out that you have anything as an "obstacle" between the payment and the download - they may even close your account. A forced opt-in is regarded as an 'additional payment' required to access the item they bought.

Can you identify the location in Pay Pals "Legal Agreements" rather than just posting a comment?

I can't remember the last piece of software I purchased online that I didn't have to "register" before I could use it. I'd certainly be satisfied though if you provided the location of the above mentioned "forced opt-in" clause in Pay Pal's legal agreement. The opt in I use is labeled as "Registering Your Product" in which it is.

          Thanks!

I built a paypal digital downloads management system that you can check out here: PHP Digital Downloads Script

It has secure delivery and will also track sales.

                Hope it helps.

It has a separate install from Wordpress, but the Paypal buttons can be placed pretty much anywhere, including a page or post in your Wordpress installation.

Basically, you can create a Paypal button for your download (the system matches it up by the item number). Then the system takes over and delivers the product either through email, after paying at paypal, or the option for both.

Use JVZoo or DigiResults to create the payments buttons.

This gives you an instant affiliate programme, and allows you keep the downloads more secure.
