Build minisite using Joomla

I want to build some mini site using Joomla as website platform. I am very interested to use Joomla, but I am not decide yet to use this because a lot of website platform also nice view, such as fast loading, theme design, and other. Could you please give me suggestion for this?

    I have used Joomla to custom build an online training course.

    Today, I installed Wordpress to build a new project. After only 20 minutes of tinkering around, I wholly recommend Wordpress over Joomla.

    It seems much easier to work with.

      before wordpress are trending, i was using joomla, then after my friend introduces me wordpress at 2009, and i never lookback to joomla

      but if you want to make minisite, i think joomla will looks nice for you

    Funny, I've been playing with WP for some time now and I'm still not that impressed by it... The thing is, I've been building websites (non-IM related mostly) with Joomla for so long, and I know so many of its extensions that I can do pretty much what I want with it and with free extensions in 99% of cases, except maybe for anything related to Amazon. My current websites are actually based on J!1.7 and 2.5.

    Joomla is flexible for you to build various kinds of website: blog websites, business website, e-commercial website.... The loading time is really fast even you use many extensions. One thing I love at using Joomla is you can build anything without coding knowledge. That's really great.
