Can anyone recommend a Joomla ninja?

Hey all!

My website has been down for months because I can't find a reliable Joomla developer. Does anyone have someone who's great with plug-ins and work-arounds - it can't be someone who's done just super-simple sites in Joomla?

Super desperate - thanks for your help!

  • Just hit up elance or another freelance site, or if the site has actually been down for months, and thus probably not even indexed any more, move it to a better platform.

Joomla is a huge pain in the arse, wordpress would 99.9% be likely to do anything joomla can, is way more developer friendly, and has a billion free resourses available and way more experienced developers.

    • I work with someone who does intermediate level sites. He charges about $600 for a whole site. If you post more details about what types of issues you need handled, I can speak with him about it.

  • Hi,

Can you post more about your problem?
I've done lots of websites with Joomla and know my way around it very well. Actually all the websites I make now are based on it.

    Seb.
  • Lol, too bad...
A few months ago I had to build a community site (I've made two more since then), I had to choose between JoomSocial and Community Builder... I picked CB. So I have absolutely no experience with JoomSocial.
  • How far along with this project are you - are you 100% committed to jooma?

I know im biased as a wp dev, but my point about their being a ton more resources and experienced wp developers is true.

I take it you have a detailed project map and wireframe for the site? Because even the best developers will stuggle with vague instructions.
  • My partner - who builds websites but doesn't have time to build this one - is pretty sure we can't do what we need to do in WP.
