Its not that hard. I'm starting to get the hang of it myself.

Best thing for you to do is go to YouTube and watch videos on it.

Make a test page and play around with it. You cant break anything so go nuts.

Do yourselves a HUGE favor and look at the lynda.com tutorials... They have so much information and it's a very low cost subscription. They're all screencasts and you can easily follow along.

PS- I'm not affiliated with them in any way, I'm just extremely pleased with their service and want to see them continue to grow their tutorial library

As a beginner "w3school" may be your first choice but I also suggest you to see another HTML teaching site ,like video tutorial from lynda, both video and text tutorial from "webdesign" and you can read a lot of e book to improve yourself.

I started searching on google way back 3 years ago and found out w3schools.

Later then, I learned and expand my knowledge more by getting ebooks and honestly some stuffs that will cost you a little but were surely worth it.

    Goodluck!

I think one of the best ways to learn HTML is to get yourself an HTML editor like Dreamweaver or Visual Web Developer (FREE),. There are other free editors available on the web. What you want is an editor that has its own built in web server so when you test the pages you are working on you see them displayed in a live browser. This way when you write code you can test and see your code in action. This is the best way to learn HTML you get instant feedback on what you have done. You can go online and find tutorials for different things and build them in your editor and run them and test them and see how they look.
