I keep getting so many e-mails talking about new ways to make sites jump to the top in Google but non of them talk about fixing a site that was hit by the Google update and show anyone that has recovered a site back to the top.

?s
Has anyone that had page one sites in google they got dropped after the update get their sites back to page one?

I have a lot of sites that all had page one at the top listing that all got dropped to page 15 or more and i have not been able to get any of them back up.
In fact over time they have dropped even more.

What can be done to the sites to get them back up to page one.

Many of my sites had page one listing for many years in the top 5 and now they are all gone.

Seems like all the great back links and other items i picked up as WSOs is what killed my sites that google dose not like.

Why are you talking about this in Website Design?

    Anyway...

I have recovered a few of my companies web pages. Some pages are impossible as backlinks were the primary source for their homepage and outsourcing SEO companies to build such horrible links it's kind of impossible now however the main priority and focus is to focus on product pages.

PS: This is for ecommerce stores. It's not all about getting links yourself, the main objective is usually 3rd party links I believe and by this I mean the "share with a friend" approach. The more natural the better, and if you can build a social SEO approach, you will start to notice improvements greatly, but if you stuck to your old ways before Google 's updates then a clean up may be necessary (if possible).

First, find out which penalty your site had. It might be a penguin penalty or a panda or even just a google dance (which isn't a penalty so relax). Look back at day your sites got penalized and see if it matches up with a penguin update or a panda update.

If it IS penguin, we know that Penguin is all about anchor text diversity. Here are some good analysis.

Now, there are 2 ways people have been using to get out of penguin: 301 redirects and mass non-exact backlinks.

301 redirects mean you just build a new site and redirect the old site. You lose some authority and have to rebuild. So-so and it isn't a real cure since not all of the people who tried this has recovered.

Option two is that you build massive amounts of backlinks that aren't your main keywords. Try a few thousand backlinks for stuff like "click here" as well as your raw URL. I also developed a tool that builds 1,000 blog comments with 1,000 diff anchors a day using long tail keywords harvest from your site.

Basically, by doing option 2, i've gotten a lot of sites out of penguin so far.

IM me on Skype if you have more questions. Skype avatar is SirKonstantine.
