Newbie IMer, wanting to learn web development, needs help!

Im a newbie affiliate and internet marketer, im interested in learning some web dev to build LP's and all. Right now im learning HTML and CSS (codecademy,books, and online resources), as an internet markters which are the tech skills you guys would recommend one to learn apart from those two and any resources for learning them?

    Depends on your goals. If you only want to build basic, non-interactive sites, then HTML & CSS is all you need. But if you want to build dynamic, interactive websites, then you'll want to learn PHP/MySQL (for server-side stuff) and/or Javascript (for client-side stuff).

    Tizag has some great beginner-level tutorials for all that. W3Schools is good too.

    That should keep ya busy for awhile.

    Also... for editing code, I like to use Netbeans for most projects, and Notepad++ for simple edits. And if you want to be able to run PHP/MySQL on your desktop (big time saver!), then XAMPP is great for that.
