Amazon S3 / CloudFront + OptimizePress to stream videos?

Hey guys,

I've been having this weird problem with Amazon S3 and Optimize Press, regarding video streaming..

I used the video tutorial in OptimizePress's members area, which basically helps you create a CloundFront distribution, set on Download, for your S3 Bucket. Although that's probably not what you want.. (I guess you want Streaming); however when I access the video link directly through Chrome, it streams fine, plays from the beginning while it loads the rest of the video.

BUT, when I put the video link in OptimizePress (in the video field with all the settings) and then I load the page - it just makes me wait until it downloads ALL the video before starting playing it..

Any suggestions/thoughts?

    What type of video is it? MP4?

    If so, try this video player to see if it resolves the issue. It's free, open source and the JavaScript is hosted by a Level 3 CDN. If it works, you'll know it's the OP player.

      It's .mp4 yes - I just did a test with this player and my video link (from CloudFront) and it works fine.. it STREAMS.

      My problem with the OptimizePress player is that it first DOWNLOADS my video, it doesn't STREAM it, and I've got no idea how to fix that.

      I would use other players, like the one you suggested, but I don't want to play out with the outline of the page anymore; plus the OP player is simple to use, you just add the code there and that's it.
