Does anyone know what software/script this site may be using?
Graphic Designers - Graphic Design Companies

I used PHPLD years ago to build a few directories. Was not to fond of it, in that it needed alot of custom work to get it right. Looking to find something similar to what this site is using. Any suggestions on the best to use nowadays?

It's not custom, for sure - but customised yes.
If you check the source and pick out a few elements and search, you can find it used in many places.

Yeah I did that. But I think all those sites are owned by same person running the same code.

Note that phpLD is not the same as it was a few years ago.

It is okay to contact me! I have been developing software since 1999, creating many popular products like phpLD.

Agreed. I should have not been so short.

I did try out the phpld demo on the site though, and when adding a link, could not get the 'Got To Step 2' button to work at all in firefox. And in IE it through a javacript error.

Good point. I will explain ...

        It works here
        Directory- Submit Link

What you were looking at is a security feature that prevents auto submitters from serving up a bunch of phpLDs in frames and auto-submitting. We probably should break the demo out of the frame or disable the security for that feature so thanks for the feedback.

But I will say that directory owners have been very adamant about preventing spam and receiving tons of low quality links, and there are a lot of features built into phpLD to stop that.

It just so happens that the demo is in a frame. I will look into that!
