Hello there Warriors.
Looking to build my own personal forum in the near future.
Have my niche and area market sorted.
I just haven't really got any background experience in making forums, which means to say, ive not made my own forum, have very little knowledge about what site and who to choose and so on. I'd also like some personal little things added and am un-sure if I can code it.

I have limited knowledge and skills in there area.
Im just wondering if someone would be as kind as to perhaps help me over Skype/TV or something like that!

Thanks in regards.
MrJackBauer.

vBulletin is the most popular forum platform. Actually, it's what The Warrior Forum runs on, haha. It's easy to use and simple to set up. Google it and check it out.

you do not need any coding skills per se, most forums are plug n play

I've never used Plugs, nor hosted my own domain and so on so. I have read that site and it looks exactly like the 1 I like and was itending to use. However I can't judge the best packages and so on. I have an idea for a broad forum which could potentially be as large as this one. There are programmes that have 65 members online at $45 P/M. But I would want something a lot larger than that. For example WF has 18,000 people online at most times. What kinds of prices are thoose?

It really depends on whether or not you want your website to be solely a forum or if you want to have a blog as well.

Most open-source content-management systems (Blogs) like Wordpress and Joomla have plugins for forums. This would allow you to post news, articles and media on the home page and have a separate section for the forum.

If you just want a forum, then you can't go wrong with vBulletin.

I like the layout and setup of the forum in the list that tryinhere suggested if you dont mind taking a quick look. Are you or tryinhere on Skype by the way? I can contact you so much easier that way.

    Try vanilla forums.

It integrates easily with wordpress and is easy to install, admin and use.

If you have the programming knowledge then you can just design that using your own skills in php, mysql, javascript etc or you need to hire someone professional.
    Best of luck.
