Can the experienced IMers recommend:

(i) Best three paid wordpress themes with two sidebars, two navigation menus &

(ii) Best three free wordpress themes with two side bars, two negation menus

in order of their preference.

Thanks..................

Nope. Wrong question, sorry. There is NO "best" theme. Just subjective opinions. And even so there is no theme (or any kind of solution) that would fit every blog/site.

Without knowing exacly what site you are trying to build... no normal person should venture into giving you advice

The best paid themes I've seen to date that I use on most of my websties are from Woo Themes. I'm not getting paid to say this lol, I just really love their themes.

I don't know one good place to find good free themes, but I know Woo Themes has some great free templates as well.

I'm not what you'd call an experienced IMer, but my blog uses StudioPress's Prose theme. It's a highly customizable theme, especially if you're willing to play with some CSS. It'll give you the two nav menus and sidebars you need, but it does take some effort to go from its spartan black and white look to something that's truly distinct.

If you follow the link in my sig, there's a link to the theme's page in my footer.

Full disclosure: I am a StudioPress affiliate.

I think the best free themes are the DIY themes Making two sidebars and two navigation menus is not that hard if you give it time to gain some knowledge about basic WP design and I deffinitely wouldn't recomment paying for a premium theme that offers just that. I prefer to build my own themes in Lubith, and keep the pre-made free/premium themes only for inspiration.

Thesis all the way! It will adapt to whatever design needs you come across, and it's pretty cheap. It's also lightweight, SEO-friendly, easy to use, very customizable for both beginners and experienced coders, and elegant.
